This is the moment the Turkey earthquake shook a swimming pool in Mugla.

CCTV footage shows water rippling on the pool surface as the tremor struck Turkish port city Fethiye early morning on June 2. Poolside loungers rattled and pet dogs were jolted awake by the force of the quake.

The United States Geological Survey said the quake struck five kilometres south of Icmeler at 23:17 UTC on Tuesday. It was 74 kilometres deep.

Authorities said a 14-year-old girl in Fethiye died after suffering an anxiety attack. At least 69 people were injured after jumping from windows or balconies to escape their homes.

No major infrastructural damage has been reported.

Turkey lies on top of major fault lines, making earthquakes frequent.
