Heartwarming moment Kylie serenades boy, 3, who gifted her a rose
This is the heartwarming moment Kylie Minogue serenaded a three-year-old fan after he gifted her a rose at one of her concerts.
Little Reuben Borley-Walton melted the heart of the Australian pop megastar during her performance in Birmingham last Thursday (5/6).
Dad Glen Frost, 53, said his son took a pink rose to hand to Kylie if he got the chance - but they never imagined he would get the attention he did.
During her rendition of 'Where The Wild Roses Grow' the 57-year-old singer handed out flowers to lucky fans before focusing in on Reuben.
The Princess of Pop struck up a conversation from the stage with the delighted youngster and looked visibly moved as he handed her a rose back.
Kylie then serenaded Reuben for the remainder of the song and footage of the adorable moment has been viewed over 250,000 times on social media.
Proud dad Glen, a care worker, from Matlock, Derbys., said: "He was smiling all the way through and hasn't been able to stop smiling since."
"Kylie got quite emotional as well and her voice sort of cracked at the end when she saw his little face flash up on the big screen."
"We were really proud of him and really glad that she put the effort in as well. It was really, really nice of her to single him out and sing for him."
"I'm a big fan so he's been brought up with it early - whenever he gets in the car he asks for Kylie. "
"One of Reuben's first words were ‘dam, dam dam' which he used to say when he was asking for the song ‘Padam Padam' to be put on."
"Obviously children are quite unfiltered and he could have just said absolutely anything, so it was a proud moment. "
"He's told everyone at nursery and also his swimming teacher too. He is still excited about it now. He was just so shocked and surprised."
Kylie also spent a couple of minutes chatting away to Rueben and complimented his outfit - saying that he'd been "bedazzled"."
Glen added: "We dressed him in Kylie themed clothes too and we knew we were by the stage so thought there was half a chance she might spot him."
"We made him some trainers with ‘Kylie' written on them and with diamond drawings – because one of the songs on her latest album was called Diamonds."
"But we never dreamed he would have the sort of interaction he did with her. His face absolutely lit up."
"She asked about his outfit and she was really impressed that he'd been ‘bedazzled'. "
"She used the word bedazzled because everything that we'd embroidered on his clothes was in shiny silver. She was quite surprised that we had orchestrated it all."
"The audience were watching on the big screen and 'oohing and ahhing' obviously, because he's a little boy who was smiling ear to ear."
"She was really engaging, she was fabulous. She'd obviously got an affinity with him, and then she sang the song to him."
Glen says as they were leaving the event, Reuben caught the attention from other concert-goers and now "thinks he is famous"."
He added: "Because he'd been on the big screens everybody recognised him."
"People were stopping us after, you could her people whispering 'is that him?' "
"People said 'you were really brilliant, weren't you Reuben', and he replied 'yes I was'."
"His head is massive now, he thinks he is famous." "
Sharing footage of the cute encounter with Rueben on her Facebook page, Kylie wrote: "Another amazing Birmingham night!! Just one show left on the UK leg of the Tension Tour."
