Couple spark outrage by having oral sex in the back of tuk-tuk
A couple sparked outrage when they were seen having oral sex in the back of a taxi in Thailand.
Shocking footage shows a woman moving her head up and down as she leaned over her partner's lap during a ride through holiday island Phuket on Sunday night.
Exasperated driver Somnuck Chanagune said he tried to warn the pair to stop, but they allegedly ignored him to carry on with the sex act. He claimed the man 'appeared to be embarrassed' but let the woman continue to pleasure him.
The angry driver said: 'I caught the tourists doing oral sex in my car again.
'I stopped this couple four times but they just ignored me, that's why I started to record them.
'No matter how much I warned them, they didn't listen. I just let them be until we arrived at their hotel on Surin Beach.'
The frustrated cabbie said it was not his first time dealing with randy passengers, recalling another incident when a couple had full-blown sex in his tuk-tuk on January 3.
Under Thai law, the tourists could be fined up to 5,000 Baht (116.34 GBP) each for alleged public indecency.
Police said that Somnuck could make a complaint at the station and they would trace the couple.
Police Captain Surasak Sudmuang said: 'From the video it is not possible to identify the suspects. The driver must make a complaint at the station for us to investigate.'
The shocking video is the latest case to emerge of holidaymakers romping in public - an offence that carries a fine of up to 5,000 baht for public indecency.
Just days earlier, a couple were caught having sex in a parked car at the Phuket International Airport on June 10. Their vehicle was seen rocking conspicuously back and forth in the carpark.
In April, a couple shocked passers-by as they romped in their hotel room, with the lights on and the curtains open. The pair were seen thrusting through the full-length glass doors of the building as crowds gathered below to watch the spectacle in Phuket.
On February 27, a tourist couple were kicked out of a taxi for having sex inside despite the driver's warnings.
A number of holidaymakers have also been seen romping on the beach, including three men in full view of passersby.
The incident comes amid fears that the once-pristine island of Phuket has been marred by over-tourism as the Thai government implements a visa-free scheme to boost revenue following the barren pandemic years.
The island saw 800,000 foreign visitors last year alone.
Angry locals claim the push for tourist dollars has attracted crowds of rowdy visitors. There are also concerns that the island has become an enclave of criminal activity, with police unable to control street fights and more organised ruffians setting up rackets among local businesses.
Phuket officials said they are implementing tighter immigration controls and screening processes amid a wave of drug-related crimes and illegal activities on the island.
