Indian police caught 24 women and children travelling in a tuk tuk that could seat only seven people.

Footage shows the passengers emerging out of the vehicle after police stopped the Tuk Tuk travelling to Thimmapur on August 10.

Police commented: “People should take care of their own safety. They shouldn’t board in overcrowded vehicles.”

Indian police, who stopped an overcrowded Tuk Tuk Karimnagar in southern India on August 10, were astonished to see the number of people in the vehicle.

They asked the passengers to get down and as they kept a loud count, 24 women and children emerged out of the vehicle, which could seat only seven.

Police officials said the Tuk Tuk driver Abdul was ferrying his passengers to Thimmapur nearly 100 kms away.

Commissioner of Police of Karimnagar VB Kamalasan Reddy shared a video of the incident and said: “People should take care of their own safety. They shouldn’t board in overcrowded passenger vehicles unmindful of their safety.”
