This bronze fountain in a Norwegian park has a very rude suprise
This is the amusing moment a fountain in a Norwegian park gave a visitor a rude surprise.
Footage captured by holidaymaker Hanna shows the bronze sculpture of a young girl squatting in Ekebergparken Sculpture Park in Oslo.
The curious tourist crouched to inspect the figure, which was sculpted wearing a shirt and half-pulled-down trousers, with its genitalia exposed.
As she bent closer, a quick jet of water squirted from the statue's lady parts.
The cheeky artwork, titled Fideicommissum, was created by Swedish artist Ann-Sofi Siden.
The artist behind the clever fountain said that it is meant to portray a raw, instinctive act, symbolising primitive territorial marking.
Its hair, sandals, and clothing folds were inspired by classical Roman, Greek, and Etruscan art, creating a striking contrast between elegance and bodily function.
The piece has sparked mixed reactions from visitors, ranging from intrigue to discomfort.
The original version debuted in 2000 at Wanas Sculpture Park in Skane, Sweden. Only six editions exist worldwide.
Ekebergparken Sculpture Park, opened in 2013, features a diverse collection of modern and historical sculptures and offers scenic views over the Oslofjord.
