US, Los Angeles: Van Nuys Car Splits in Half Catches Fire in Fatal Crash

Los Angeles, United States - June 20, 2025 06/20/2025 02:00 am GMT-0700 VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A solo vehicle crash early Friday morning in Van Nuys left one person dead after the car struck a tree, split in half, and caught fire. The crash occurred around 2 a.m. in the 17500 block of Victory Boulevard. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division is investigating the collision. Victory Boulevard was closed for an unknown duration during the investigation.
