Ramallah - June 26, 2025 In a joint operation by Lahav 433's Etgar Unit and the IDF, a 30-year-old suspect from the Al-Amari refugee camp in Ramallah was arrested in connection with a June 2024 hit-and-run incident involving a reservist soldier at the Rantis checkpoint. The soldier was struck by a thief fleeing in a stolen vehicle from Shoham. The initial suspect was apprehended in September 2024 and charged with attempted murder and abandonment. Subsequent investigations led to the identification and arrest of a second individual, believed to have assisted in the escape and concealment of the vehicle. A prosecutor’s statement and request for detention were filed against the newly arrested suspect.
