Tourist describes sweltering heatwave conditions in Spain
An Australian tourist described the sweltering heatwave in Spain.
Footage shows traveller Josh strolling through Seville under the scorching sun on Saturday, June 28.
He wore a cap and a sleeveless muscle tee, showcasing the clear sky and sunset over the city, while holding an empty bottle of water in his left hand.
Josh said: 'It's already 9 pm and it's still 38 degrees. But we're in the City of Seville. This is ridiculous. Anyway, it's cool.'
A prolonged heatwave continues to impact much of Europe, prompting health alerts across several countries as temperatures soar.
Officials have identified southern Spain as one of the hardest-hit areas, with temperatures reaching the mid-40s Celsius in Seville and nearby provinces.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change notes that heatwaves are becoming increasingly frequent and intense due to human-driven climate change.
