This is the touching moment a kind-hearted local retrieved a tourist's dropped AirPod from a drain.

Holidaymaker Lynnette Elad, 37, accidentally dropped one of her earpieces through a crack in the pavement after stepping off a motorcycle taxi in Bangkok, Thailand.

Footage shows the Grab rider using torque wrenches and zip ties to carefully fish the device out of the narrow crevice on June 24.

Moments later, the driver successfully hooked the AirPod using a makeshift loop attached from metal tools wrapped in tapes.

Lynnette said: 'The rider helped me a lot. This really shows how Thai people go above and beyond to be helpful and kind.'

AirPods are Apple's wireless earbuds, valued for their compact design. Their small size and smooth shape make them convenient for travel but also prone to slipping from ears or pockets.
