Security guard shoves fan away from K-Pop girl group boarding train
This is the dramatic moment a security guard grappled with a fan who was following a K-pop girl group as they were boarding a train.
The dance ensemble Hearts2Hearts was being escorted by a team of bodyguards at Incheon International Airport in South Korea for their concert tour.
Footage shows the music industry products wearing black masks, surrounded by fans as they walked towards the public vehicle alongside protection workers on June 8.
Moments later, a woman holding a camera was seen trying to inch closer to one of the band members.
This prompted the officer to drag the admirer out of the way by placing an arm around her neck before pushing her away to prevent her from boarding the train.
However, the fan was still able to get inside the train car, causing security to keep to monitor her movements.
Hearts2Hearts (H2H), SM Entertainment's newest eight-member girl group, officially debuted on February 24 this year with their first single album, 'The Chase'.
Meanwhile, concerns continue to grow over the darker side of K-pop fandom.
Obsessive fans known as 'sasaeng,' literally meaning 'crazy stalkers' in Korean, have been reported to track idol schedules, monitor flights, and even obtain sensitive personal information such as passports.
When K-pop groups travel abroad for events, these sasaeng fans often follow them, relentlessly capturing every moment with little regard for the idols' privacy or personal boundaries.
