On July 6, in Wenchang City, Hainan Province, a black sedan suddenly lost control, crashed through the glass door of a mother-and-baby store, and drove straight into the store.

Surveillance footage shows that the vehicle brushed past a man holding a child, the man had just stood up and walked away with the child two seconds before the car rushed in, narrowly escaping danger.

The car knocked over shelves, and products were scattered all over the floor. The front of the sedan was severely damaged, but no injuries were reported, only product losses occurred.

The driver was an underage boy around 15 or 16 years old. He was driving a rented vehicle without a license and is suspected to have mistaken the brake for the accelerator, causing the car to go out of control and resulting in the accident.

A staff member from the Wenchang City Traffic Police Department stated that the case is still under further investigation, but specific details cannot be disclosed.
