One worker was killed and six were injured when a metal frame collapsed at a construction site.

The men were working on a new building at a tea factory when the structure collapsed in Chiang Rai, Thailand, on July 8 shortly after 4pm local time.

Five workers suffered minor injuries, one worker was severely injured, and another was found dead at the scene.

Paramedics and fire crews used equipment to lift the metal structure and extract the body, while the injured victims were sent to Wiang Pa Pao Hospital.

Investigators believe that land subsidence at the site caused the accident. However, forensic police are still checking the scene to determine the cause.
