SHOTLIST: KHAN YOUNIS, PALESTINE (JULY 9, 2025) (ANADOLU – ACCESS ALL) 1. VARIOUS OF SMOKES RISING FROM HIT PLACES BY ISRAEL / TENTS OF DISPLACED PALESTINIANS LIVINGKHAN YOUNIS, PALESTINE - JULY 9, 2025: At least 26 more Palestinians, including children, were killed on Wednesday as the Israeli army intensified its airstrikes across the war-torn Gaza Strip, medics said. In Gaza City, Israeli forces killed 10 people, including five children, and injured over 30 others in a strike that leveled a residential home in Al-Shati refugee camp, a medical source said. In central Gaza, four people were killed, including a father and his son, and several others were wounded when Israeli strikes hit three homes in the Bureij and Nuseirat camps and in Deir al-Balah. In southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, 10 more Palestinians, including children, were killed in a strike that targeted tents sheltering displaced families near the Al-Atar junction west of the city. Two others were killed and several wounded in a separate strike on a displacement tent in the Al-Namsawi area, also west of Khan Younis. The Israeli army has killed nearly 57,600 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has destroyed the enclave and led to food shortages and a spread of disease. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
