Data from traveling platforms showed that booking numbers are up 40 percent compared to last year. [Sound_bite] Jiao Yang, Operations Director, hotel in Shanghai: "Rooms for families and for two-bed are almost fully booked through the end of July. The rooms are also 5 percent pricier amid the surging demand." [Voice_over] Family travelers can also make the most of the recent excitement around a grassroots football league in Jiangsu, a coastal Province neighboring Shanghai. For football fans, there's good news -- many museums and attractions in the area are offering free entry for fans traveling to support visiting teams in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu. [Sound_bite] Dong Ting, Director, Resort Management, Nanjing Pearl Spring Scenic Area: "We are expecting a spike in footfalls for this weekend's football match. We believe the number of visitors will jump more than 120 percent from a year ago." [Voice_over] While some are drawn to hotter matches, others seek cooler escapes. In China's northern mountainous regions, summer camping is thriving, with gadget sellers, entertainers and food vendors catering to adventurous travelers. [Sound_bite] Zhao Junyang, Camping enthusiast: "This is our third year visiting Yanji. Very nice camping culture, with a packed schedules of live activities. We'll definately be coming back." [Voice_over] The three-day camping carnival in Yanji attracted over 400 campers from nearby Northeastern cities, making it popular gateway spot this summer.
