A massive water column soared more than ten metres high amidst a heating pipeline burst in northern China.

The video was filmed in Fushun City in Liaoning Province on January 8.

Hot water sprayed into the sky from a damaged pipe, enveloping the surrounding area in steam.

Repair personnel from the local heating station quickly arrived at the scene, closing the pipeline valves and initiating repairs.

In response, the heating office of Shuncheng District in Fushun City stated that the damaged pipe had a diameter of 400 millimetres. They estimated that the repair work would be completed by 5:00 pm on January 8th, gradually restoring normal heating for affected users.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
