A tornado was caught on camera tearing through rural farmland east of Dodgeville, with fire crews reportedly trailing the storm as it moved across the landscape.

The video, shared by X user John the Owl Whisperer, was filmed from Garrison Grove Cemetery and shows the tornado forming in the distance, with traffic moving along US151 in the foreground.

The witness reported that the tornado appeared to pass through cropland located north of US151, south of County YZ, and east of County Z. They also suggested it may have tracked just north of County YZ along the Military Ridge Trail.

“I’m under the impression it went thru cropland north of US151, south of Cty YZ, and east of Cty Z,” the user stated. “It also possible it went just north of YZ and followed the Military Ridge Trail.”

Although no official ground assessment was made by the witness, they believed emergency services were already responding to the situation, having seen at least one fire truck trailing the storm.
