GAZA, PALESTINE - JULY 17, 2025: Footage captured the moment an Israeli strike targeted a school sheltering displaced people in the Bureij Refugee Camp in the central Gaza Strip on Thursday, July 17. According to eyewitnesses, the attack caused significant damage to the Abu Helou School, tent shelters and several nearby homes. The school was also struck during a midnight Israeli attack earlier today, in addition to a previous strike on July 8. Separately, medical sources reported that at least 22 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in a new wave of Israeli geocidal attacks across the besieged enclave on the same day. Rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli army has pursued a genocide against Gaza since October 2023, killing nearly 58,700 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
