On July 17, a traffic jam of rafting boats occurred at the Gaoguo River scenic area in Zhenyuan, Guizhou Province.

Video footage shows the river surface crowded with rafting boats, with more boats continuously coming downstream and colliding with the already jammed rafts. Some boats capsized in the chaos, creating a disorderly scene.

According to scenic area staff, the congestion was due to heavy tourist traffic during the hot summer weather and was unavoidable. Around 80 safety personnel were stationed along the route, and tourists were promptly evacuated. The affected stretch of river is calm, and although some rafters swallowed water after falling in, no injuries were reported.

景区工作人员表示，暑热天气人流量大，船只拥堵在所难免。沿途大概设置有80多个安全员，游客已被及时疏散。事发河段平缓，有落水游客呛水但未受伤。
