Suspect Behind Bus Bombings in Bat Yam and Holon Arrested in Nablus
Nablus - July 23, 2025 After an extensive months-long manhunt, Israeli security forces arrested Abd al-Karim Sanoubar in Nablus (Shechem), the terrorist responsible for the February 20, 2025, bombing of three parked buses in the cities of Bat Yam and Holon. The arrest was carried out by the IDF, Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), and Border Police in the Samaria Division area, following a precise intelligence-led operation. A recent explosion—likely caused by the suspect’s mishandling of explosives in his possession—led forces to his location. Sanoubar fled the scene injured but was tracked and captured after a 19-hour search. During the operation, forces discovered and destroyed several ready-to-use explosive devices near the blast site. Officials called the arrest a significant operational and intelligence achievement following a series of coordinated missions in the field.
