This is the shocking moment a power bank exploded and burst into flames in an office.

A female worker had been charging her phone on her desk when the device blew up, prompting nearby employees to scream in fear in Bangkok, Thailand.

CCTV footage shows two women sitting in their cubicles when the device suddenly ignited on June 5.

In another clip, staff members can be seen sweeping the floor to clean up the debris from the portable charger, while one employee brings in a vacuum cleaner.

The owner of the device said she heard a crackling sound from her desk and, as she looked over, the power bank suddenly exploded.

Local media reported that the fire quickly burned out and did not cause any injuries.

Authorities said the device had already shown signs of swelling, which may have triggered the explosion while it was in use.
