Curious cat bites into cactus and ends up hurting itself
This is the hilarious moment a curious cat bit into a cactus and ended up hurting itself.
Mr Deng noticed his tabby feline attempting to munch on the spiky plant placed on the windowsill in Sichuan, China.
Footage shows the furry creature nibbling on the thorns, but some had pricked the roof of its mouth, causing the cat to stop biting the plant on July 24.
Cactus spines, while often thin and hair-like, can be deceptively sharp and painful.
Some varieties have barbed or hooked tips that latch onto skin or soft tissue, making removal difficult and uncomfortable. Even a brief contact can cause stinging, inflammation, or small puncture wounds—especially sensitive areas like the inside of the mouth.
