This is the heartwarming moment three playful goats were seen playing with children at the Oregon Zoo.

The wild park recently welcomed three Nigerian dwarf goats - Biscuit, Jam, and Jelly - to its Family Farm area.

Biscuit is one year old, while Jam and Jelly are around five months old. The trio was adopted from a local farm earlier this summer and is already settling in well with the rest of the herd.

Jen Osburn Eliot, who manages the Family Farm, said the young animals are playing happily and following Biscuit's lead as they adjust to their new home.

This week, Biscuit, Jam, and Jelly began spending time with the zoo's six adult Nigerian dwarf and mini-Nubian creatures. So far, their introduction has gone smoothly with only minimal head-butting.

Eliot said: 'Goats are highly social animals, so it's wonderful to be able to provide a herd environment for the new arrivals. They've been participating in our goat encounters as well, and guests are really enjoying them.'

Visitors can meet the full herd, including the recently adopted youngsters, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm throughout the summer.

The nine residents of the Family Farm are not the only horned creatures cared for by the zoo. Two others live at the Jonsson Center for Wildlife Conservation in Clackamas County, where they help resident California condors by grazing on wild vegetation, including invasive plants like English ivy and Himalayan blackberry.
