Labradors dressed as Tibetan Mastiffs for tourist photos near lake
This is the shocking moment visitors spotted Labradors dressed as Tibetan Mastiffs for photos near a lake.
Ms Zang encountered several well-behaved dogs wearing thick, neck fur-like scarves at Yomdrok Lake in Tibet, China.
Footage shows three white and two black dogs on leashes, sitting on tables with their handlers standing nearby on July 23.
The holidaymaker, visibly stunned, could only laugh in shock while filming the dogs.
Tourists expressed outrage over handlers misleading tourists by presenting the Labradors as Tibetan Mastiffs, leading visitors to believe they were paying to pose with the iconic regional breed.
The Tibetan Mastiff is a large, powerful breed native to Tibet, historically used as a guard dog for livestock and property. It is known for its thick double coat and imposing appearance.
Once a symbol of regional pride, the breed has commanded prices up to CNY 2 million (approximately 207,000 GBP) at the height of its popularity.
