This is the shocking moment a fairground ride collapsed and injured two people in India, sending panicked crowds screaming and fleeing in terror.

Footage shows the popular ‘Break Dance' attraction spinning at full speed during the Badlapur fair in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, on the night of August 14.

Without warning, the colourful structure gave way mid-spin while festivalgoers looked on in horror.

Video captured the dramatic scene as the seats suddenly dropped and the machine came to a grinding halt, triggering screams from onlookers.

Authorities confirmed that a young man and a woman were injured in the collapse, with both receiving first aid.

Police responded quickly, shutting down the ride for safety reasons and restoring order at the theme park.

Local officials said an investigation is underway to determine whether the ride had passed safety inspections and obtained a valid permit.

Just days earlier, four people were injured in a separate incident when a 50ft tower drop ride collapsed in Navsari City, Gujarat. Authorities said two children, a man, and a woman were injured in the fall. They were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
