Youngsters stuck on a spinning arms fairground ride passed the time by stargazing.

Nike Jersey Garbin and her friend had been left hanging upside down for about five minutes, but instead of panicking, they calmly admired the night sky in Central Luzon, the Philippines.

Footage shows Nike gazing upward as their seats dangled in an awkward inverted position.

She said: ‘Hi guys, we are at the fair. We have been here for five minutes.

'The operators turned off the engine suddenly for some reason, and we still do not know what was happening.'

The pair remained safely strapped in along with the other riders until the machine was restarted and brought down.

Nike added that the attraction was later switched off for maintenance once everyone had disembarked.
