This is the wholesome moment a cleaner paused mopping floors to play with a stray cat.

Angella Ecol spotted the janitor standing still as the curious moggy jumped onto his mop at Bonifacio Stopover Pavilion in Manila, Philippines.

Footage shows the worker staring at the white-and-black feline while the animal bites and kicks the strands of soaking wet microfiber on August 6.

Despite being on the clock, the man took time to interact with the feline, even dragging the mop across the tiles to play with it.

This prompted the spirited kitty to ride along while pawing at the cleaning tool.

Angella said: 'We noticed the cat while my friends and I were eating at a restaurant. They were so entertaining to watch.'

Bonifacio Global City (BGC) is home to several community cats that live in urban spaces and are often cared for by residents, business owners, or volunteers.
