This is the adorable moment a kitten was found cooling off inside a family's fridge.

Pet owner Kathleen Mendez tried to remove her Persian cat, Snow, from the refrigerator after it had been lounging inside for a few minutes - but the playful feline bit her hand in protest in Manila, the Philippines.

Footage shows the five-month-old kitten resting on one of the fridge racks, seemingly enjoying the cool temperature on October 28.

When Kathleen tried to take Snow out, it repeatedly grabbed her hand and gently clamped its jaw around her skin, refusing to leave its newfound lounge spot.

Kathleen jokingly said: 'Snow has been living a richer life than me. What a life it has.'

Persian cats are prone to overheating due to their long, thick fur, so they often seek cooler places to help regulate their body temperature.
