US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Man Shot And Killed
Bakersfield, United States - August 16, 2025 08/15/2025 11:56 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A shooting on Friday, August 15, just before midnight, left one man dead after he was transported to a hospital for treatment, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO). The incident took place in the 2900 block of Edison Highway. The victim was shot and later pronounced dead at Kern Medical. The KCSO public information officer has identified the victim as 38-year-old Adrian Anthony Montiel. He was shot by another person at the location. Authorities released no information regarding the suspect. Detectives with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the homicide.
