- August 22, 2025 The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), under Southern Command and with intelligence support from the ISA and Military Intelligence, continued operations across the Gaza Strip targeting militant infrastructure. In Khan Younis, an IAF aircraft, directed by Southern Command’s fire center, struck a launch site used in a mortar attack attempt last Wednesday. Additional strikes in Deir al-Balah destroyed a launch site containing rockets ready to be fired toward Israel. In northern Gaza, Division 99 forces operated on the outskirts of Gaza City, eliminating militants, destroying underground and above-ground terror infrastructure, striking a military-use building, and dismantling a weapons depot in Zeitoun. Meanwhile, Division 162 forces operated in Jabaliya and on Gaza City’s outskirts, neutralizing militants and demolishing militant infrastructure, with Fire Brigade 215 carrying out precision strikes on military compounds. In southern Gaza, Division 36 conducted strikes in Khan Younis, hitting buildings where Hamas operatives were present. The IDF emphasized its continued efforts to degrade the military capabilities of militant organizations throughout Gaza.
