This is the heartwarming moment a chef performed CPR to save a squirrel that was injured by power lines.

A kindhearted passerby spotted a Finlayson's squirrel climbing along a high-voltage power pole when it was electrocuted and was thrown to the ground in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the local entering the eatery while carrying the unconscious animal to give it to the visibly worried worker on May 21.

The cook then wrapped the creature in a cloth, gently placed it on the cooler, and pumped its chest to resuscitate it.

Moments later, it started regaining consciousness and attempted to scramble away.

The startled tri-stripe squirrel can be seen falling off the blue container before running to hide in a corner by the wall.

In another clip, it lounged on top of a wooden fence in the diner.
