Los Angeles, United States - September 11, 2025 09/11/2025 11:30 am GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Step-by-step, firefighters and community members were climbing Santa Clarita’s 172-step staircase at Central Park to honor the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Hundreds of people spent the day with 13 rotations up and down the stairs to meet the same number of steps for the longest staircase in the former World Trade Center complex. “This is our third year doing it,” said organizer Melissa Mann. “We've calculated out the World Trade Center was 110 stories tall. And so 13 rounds is the equivalent of 110 stories of the World Trade Center. So we come here today as a community to honor the fallen, honor those that ran and stepped into action to be able to try and do what they could to help save people or rescue people or get them out that day.” Drone footage featured here has been reviewed and verified by Key News Network LLC. This aerial UAV footage complies with and conforms to the FAA Part 107 guidelines. All operations were conducted by FAA-certified Part 107 UAS pilot(s).
