This was a flight I worked as a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines on February 11th, 2023. We were in Florida during a stormy Saturday when we experienced the heaviest sustained turbulence of my 30 year career. The turbulence was so heavy that we weren't able to perform a service or even leave our seats during the 3 hour flight. The pilots were amazing and kept the passengers calm with frequent updates. The passengers themselves were amazing and followed the crews instructions to the letter. No one was injured and the plane landed safely. The plane was however pulled from service for a post turbulence check by mechanics.
I am the person filming the turbulence and you can see me in the beginning wearing yellow glasses. I am the only recognizable person in the video. The loud noises you hear are the metal kits in the aft galley bouncing in their brackets.
