Resident horrified to find python poking out of his toilet
A resident was horrified to find a python poking out of his toilet.
Don Natthatida said he was about to flush when he saw something move in the water in Pathum Thani, Thailand, on September 12 at around 1 am.
Footage shows the serpent's head just above the surface of the water shortly after Don discovered it.
Don zoomed in with his camera and showed the reptile retreating slightly when it sensed movement.
The homeowner said: ‘At that moment, I was flushing the toilet and the water started to rise, then suddenly, a snake popped up.'
Don added that he had seen a snake in the same bowl before, but it had quickly disappeared until the recent sighting.
He said: ‘That was already the second time. Luckily, I managed to record it.'
Don called plumbers to his home to help remove the toilet and found that a pipe had come loose.
He said: ‘When the toilet was removed, we discovered that a pipe had come loose, leaving an opening for the snake to crawl in.'
They had it repaired the following day, and the python has not been seen since.
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
