Dramatic Rescue: Shoppers Save Elderly Man From Falling Off Escalator in Fujian
On June 30, in Sanming, Fujian, an elderly man lost his balance while riding a moving escalator inside a supermarket and was suddenly thrown off, leaving his body hanging dangerously in mid-air.
An elderly woman riding beside him immediately grabbed his arm in an attempt to steady him. Seeing the crisis, a shopper named Li Fulian rushed over, joined by a supermarket staff member, and together they held onto the man’s wrist to stop him from slipping further.
Other staff quickly reacted by shutting down the escalator, and with combined effort, the group managed to pull the man back to safety.
Fortunately, the elderly man was unharmed apart from the fright and is now safe.
