This is the adorable moment an otter was spotted visiting a market stall to beg for a snack.

Thandarin Sanjean was waiting in line to buy barbecue when she saw the hefty mustelid leaning on the counter and standing on its hind legs in Ranong, Thailand.

Footage shows the smooth-coated otter attempting to climb onto the table while the vendor shoos it away on February 10.

Thandarin said: 'The otter lives in a nearby canal and often comes to the stall for food.'

Otters are carnivorous and opportunistic feeders, thriving in diverse environments such as rivers, lakes, and even urban canals.

These animals are not harmful, but like any wild creature, they can become aggressive if provoked or threatened.
