NEW YORK, US (SEPT. 23, 2025) (USERS MUST CREDIT “ZELENSKYY SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT" HANDOUT, MUST NOT OBSCURE LOGO —EDITORIAL USE ONLY) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Tuesday met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, according to the Kazakh leader’s press service.

“The heads of state discussed issues of bilateral economic and humanitarian cooperation,” the statement said, adding that Tokayev called on Zelenskyy to “continue diplomatic efforts” to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

The 80th session of the UN General Assembly opened Sept. 9 and will feature a high-level week with general debates scheduled for Sept. 23–27 and Sept. 29.
