A pet dog was seen eagerly running from a ferry to the dock to meet his canine companions at a port.

The pooch patiently waited on the ramp while his owner held his leash as he anticipated the moment he could greet his friends in Siquijor, the Philippines.

Footage shows the joyful aspin dashing toward the shore as soon as they arrived, going straight to his friends on September 12.

The white pup greeted the other dogs who rushed toward him, and they all played together by the side as the ferry disembarked.

Onlooker Mae Ailugen said: 'They were so cute. They seemed to have missed each other.'

Mae added the furry traveller was owned by one of the passengers.

She said: 'The dog was well-behaved throughout the journey. It was so happy when we reached the port.'
