Hundreds of Lebanese residents gathered at the Raouche Rocks in Beirut, Lebanon on Thursday to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the death of the former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Gatherers held Hezbollah flags and portraits of the late leader killed in an Israeli airstrike one year ago. They also held a light show on the Raouche Rocks, projecting his portrait and the national flag of the country. According to residents who attended, the unplanned gathering demonstrated a profound respect for Nasrallah in the country. "So this is Lebanon! This is Lebanon. It's spontaneous. It just happened yesterday that they asked for this. It was not well planned or organized, and still you can see how many people came up and showed up to pay tribute to the leader," said Hamad Farhad from Beirut, a resident at the gathering. Hezbollah's commemoration activities for Nasrallah will last 18 days till October 12. "Lebanon should always preserve its army, its people and its resistance. This is the faith of the Lebanese people. This is the will of the Lebanese people. And this faith will always stand," said Ali Hamieh, another resident. SHOTLIST: Beirut, Lebanon - Sept 25, 2025 1.
