Phoenix, United States - January 15, 2026 01/15/2026 04:24 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Phoenix Fire Department and the Tempe Fire Department responded shortly before 4:30 a.m. Thursday for a reported traffic collision with entrapment in the 4400 block of East Broadway Road. Firefighters arrived on the scene and found a collision involving a white passenger car and a white pickup truck. The occupant of the passenger car was unable to open the driver’s side door due to significant damage from the collision. The driver managed to move to the passenger seat, where they were assisted out of the vehicle by fire personnel before being transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The male driver of the pickup truck was evaluated but declined further medical assistance from firefighters. Westbound lanes of Broadway Road were restricted due to vehicles obstructing the roadway and firefighting operations.
