We are enjoying both the food and the fun of this place," said He Dengpei, a camper. In Shimen, an old village in Ningbo known for its beautiful natural scenery and vintage look, has emerged as a popular destination for tourists to experience rural life, boosting bookings of home-stays in the village. In Wuhan, the provincial capital of Hubei in central China, a parade featuring 23 large floats and 38 groups of performers was held on Wednesday to celebrate the National Day. The floats will travel to various scenic areas and business circles across the city in the remaining seven days of the holiday. Meanwhile, a total of 228 tourism activities featuring fashions, fun, night tours, and discounts will be launched in Wuhan during the holiday. In Longyan City, Fujian Province in east China, the memorial hall of the central red line of communication was packed with visitors on Wednesday. Through the display of cultural relics, scenario reproduction, and multimedia interactive activities, the museum vividly tells the heroic stories of messengers in the revolution era, passing on revolutionary traditions to the young generations. "The visitor flows have increased significantly. They are actively taking part in our special activities to learn about the culture of the revolutionary base area in western Fujian," said Bao Fengfeng, an employee at the Jinsha Red Town in Longyan.
