Indian women perform sacred dance at Hindu festival
This is the moment Indian women performed a sacred dance during a Hindu festival celebration.
Footage shows a group of worshippers dressed in colourful traditional attire as they performed for Goddess Durga in Bodhgaya, Bihar, on October 1.
Another clip shows young girls dancing with sticks - a traditional folk dance commonly performed during Navratri festivities.
Navratri is a nine-night Hindu festival dedicated to the worship of the goddess Durga and her nine divine forms. Celebrated across India, it involves fasting, prayer, music, and dance, particularly in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and West Bengal.
The festival symbolises the triumph of good over evil, and culminates with Vijayadashami, commonly known as Dussehra, on the tenth day.
