Phoenix, United States - October 04, 2025 10/04/2025 12:25 am GMT-0700 GLENDALE, Ariz. – Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers (DPS) and Glendale Fire Department crews responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision with possible ejected occupants in the southbound lanes of Loop 101, south of Union Hills Drive. According to the DPS, troopers arrived to find one vehicle, a Toyota Tacoma, on its roof on the right shoulder, and a Chevy pickup with significant collision damage blocking the HOV lane. Two unidentified victims were ejected as a result of the collision and pronounced deceased at the scene. Troopers established a hard closure for southbound Loop 101, diverting all traffic off the mainline at 67th Avenue. The closure remained in place for several hours while troopers investigated the collision.
