Dozens of dogs were blessed by a priest at Holy Trinity Sloane Square as Christians across the world celebrated the feast of Saint Francis on October 4.

Some of the dogs were better behaved than others during Blessing Pets service at the Holy Trinity Sloane Square on Saturday, 4 October 2025. Father Michael made an effort to calm down some of the dogs during the blessing ceremony. Hundreds of dogs, small and large, took part in the service, bringing together dog owners from Chelsea and the rest of London. Annually, on or around October 4, Christians worldwide celebrate the Feast of Saint Francis with a blessing of animals and prayers for creation.
