Last week, my daughter Stella lost her beloved stuffed alligator, Ernie, while we were out shopping. We didn’t realize until later that he was missing, and by the time we retraced our steps the following day, no one had seen him, but one of the stores we’d visited was closed. The next morning, I called that store, and they confirmed they had Ernie!

After church, we drove straight there so Stella could ask for herself, and sure enough…they had kept him safe. I figured I would film it because she was working so hard asking all of the stores and I just knew she was going to be ecstatic. As you can see in the video, her face lit up the moment she saw him!

We’re so thankful the employees were kind enough to take it seriously that a little girl was missing her special stuffed animal.

It ended up being such a sweet learning moment for her, and one we’ll both remember.
