Wasatch Mountains, Utah, USA - On October 4, Michael Boman recorded the quiet aftermath of an early snowstorm that swept across the Wasatch Range, turning autumn’s colors into a scene of winter stillness.

His video opens with a slow sweep over tall conifers bowed under the weight of fresh snow, their branches bending low beneath the white load.

Veils of fog weave through the forest, softening the distant peaks until they fade like ghostly shapes beyond the trees.

Further below, a calm reservoir reflects the dim light, its dark waters dotted with thin layers of forming ice, framed by snow-covered pines.

The footage ends along a winding mountain trail, its surface blanketed by uneven drifts—from light dustings that graze the ankles to piles climbing past the knees.

“A crazy awesome October day in the Wasatch while hiking Saturday late. Up to 11” of snow fell at Brighton Resort, Utah,” Boman said.
