Los Angeles, United States - October 13, 2025 10/12/2025 11:00 pm GMT-0700 GLENDORA, Calif. – California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers from the Santa Fe Springs Area office began pursuing a white vehicle that had run through a closure on the northbound 605 Freeway at Slauson Avenue in Whittier. The suspect continued north on the freeway, reaching speeds of 90 miles per hour. The Baldwin Park CHP took over the chase as the suspect exited at Huntington Drive from the northbound 605 Freeway in the city of Duarte. The vehicle then proceeded eastbound on Foothill Boulevard, traveling through multiple cities at speeds of 60 miles per hour. Due to the high speeds on surface streets, CHP units switched to tracking mode and called in an airship for assistance. CHP officers successfully set up a spike strip at Route 66 and Grand Avenue in Glendora. The suspect drove over the strip, which disabled two right-side tires, causing them to deflate. The suspect eventually pulled over on East Route 66 at Glendora Avenue in Glendora, where they were taken into custody by CHP.
