On October 17 in Ding’an, Hainan Province, a car suddenly accelerated while reversing and crashed straight into a beverage shop across the road.

The impact knocked down a female customer standing at the shop entrance, injuring her. The store’s glass doors were shattered, and its interior was badly damaged, though other people nearby managed to dodge in time and were unharmed.

The injured woman was quickly carried onto a stretcher and taken to hospital for treatment. Fortunately, her injuries were not life-threatening.

According to witnesses, the accident was caused by driver error — the female driver had only recently obtained her license.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident further.
