On October 17, in a residential community in Fengtai District, Beijing, a dramatic rescue unfolded when a worker fell while dismantling an air conditioner at height.

The man lost his footing and plunged downward, but the safety rope caught him — wrapping dangerously around his neck and arms. Suspended in midair and unable to move, he struggled to breathe as onlookers watched helplessly. Any delay or shift in the rope could have led to tragedy.

Amid the tense scene, a passing crane happened to drive by. The driver, identified as Mr. Wang, immediately stopped and used his crane’s basket to lift two nearby residents up to the trapped worker. They quickly cut the tangled rope and brought the man to safety.

Thanks to the swift response and teamwork, the worker was rescued in time. He remained conscious after the ordeal and escaped without serious injuries.
