Los Angeles, United States - October 28, 2025 10/28/2025 12:30 am GMT-0700 EAST HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – California Highway Patrol's Central Division officers and Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to a vehicle and motorcycle crash on the southbound 101 Freeway near Melrose Avenue. When firefighters arrived, they found a male motorcycle rider trapped under a red Toyota Corolla. Firefighters lifted the vehicle off the man, but it was determined he was beyond medical help. The rider was declared deceased at the scene. It appears the vehicles involved in the incident stopped and remained at the scene. Officers were seen speaking with several people involved and witnesses. The motorcycle was located more than 100 feet away from the body. A Sig Alert was issued for three of the four lanes as crews continued to investigate the crash.
