UNCAPTIONED: Jon Bon Jovi: 'I had to come to terms with ageing'
Jon Bon Jovi has admitted he's had to "come to terms" with ageing. The 63-year-old singer appeared on Wednesday's episode of the How to Fail podcast and discussed dealing with his changing appearance. Bon Jovi revealed it has taken time to accept how he looks today. ”I had to come to terms with having grey hair. When (stylists) would put hair colour in, I hated that. So, I just said, 'Screw it,' like 12-13 years ago. I wouldn't do that, and so I had to come to terms with ageing.” Bon Jovi was widely regarded as a sex symbol during the '80s and '90s and the music icon confessed he misses how he used to look. He admitted, "You know, I look at pictures of me now, I'm not happy about it. I look at 30, 40, 50, and I go, 'Yeah, I would rather look like that,' but I don’t." Although Bon Jovi sometimes feels down about the ageing process, he has refused to resort to cosmetic enhancements to change his appearance. ”I'm not gonna ever get work done and my hair is grey and at least I still have all my hair. I haven't had any surgeries, operations, Botox injections, eye jobs or lip jobs or whatever the hell else you do these days. I'm not interested in any of that, nor would I do it.” Elsewhere in the interview, Bon Jovi was asked to share the lessons he has learned as he has grown older. The star listed "health" as the "key to the universe" and insisted he can look forward to many more years of happiness if he looks after his body. Bon Jovi was also asked how he measures success in life. ”It's not measured in terms of any numbers. Numbers don't mean it. They're not relevant. Relationships, family, legacy. Not necessarily in that order. Family obviously would be first. Keeping my family sane and together would be number one.” [Instructions: THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT]
